The Placement Committee of IIM Shillong works continuously in developing new relationships and nurturing existing ones with the corporate in order to provide suitable placements for students. The Committee assists students in identifying their core capabilities and helps them in seeking positions and job roles accordingly. It is also accountable for developing and maintaining databases of students and companies so that placement process can be conducted smoothly.
The Public Relations Committee is responsible for maintaining professional relationships between the institute and external bodies such as media, corporate, and other business schools. It organises various events such as Leadership Talks, Industry Seminar, etc. which provide students opportunities to interact with leading personalities of the industry. Students also get the opportunity to undergo Summer Internships to gain professional perspectives and skills.
