Rani Channamma University was established in 2010. RCUB has constituent units through which various programs are provided to students. The University has 3+ autonomous colleges, 380+ affiliated colleges, and 20+ post graduate departments which are functioning under 9 schools. It is a State University approved by UGC.

RCUB has a Career Guidance, Training and Placement Cell which facilitates adequate job opportunities by maintaining relations with industrial establishments and reputed firms. It organises training, career guidance programs, mock interview session, communication skills workshops, group discussions, seminars, personality development programs, industry interactions, etc. for students. The Cell also encourages students to take active participation in recruitment drives. The goal is to get maximum students placed in Government, MNC, Semi-Government and Public & Private Sector companies. The Career Guidance, Training and Placement Cell guide students to enhance their competitive skills which cater to industries requirements.
RCUB is located at Bhutaramanahatti which is on Pune-Bangalore National Highway-4. It is at a distance of approximately 18 kms from Belagavi and is spread over an area of 174.14 acres. Students of the University are provided various infrastructure and facilities for their overall growth and development.
