Jaypee University of Information Technology [JUIT], Solan established in 2002 is a Private University, currently having 201-300 position in NIRF Ranking 2024. Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) was established in 2002. The Government of Himachal Pradesh and Jaypee Group jointly laid the foundation stone of the university. JUIT is approved by AICTE and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It has been twice accredited by NAAC in the year 2011 and 2017.

JUIT provides degrees in a number of courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Pharm, BBA, Ph.D, and more in different disciplines. These courses are provided under the following Academic Departments.
Students who want to enroll to the university to pursue any courses must fill the application form available online and offline at the admission counter of JUIT, Solan. Admission to B.Tech courses are provided to both JEE and Non-JEE candidates, on a condition, they meet the eligibility requirements of the course. The selection of the candidates is based on the JEE main rank and 10+2 marks respectively. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam can apply for admission, but they must submit the result before the making of the merit list. Additionally, seats are reserved for SC / ST category applicants, as per the norms of Government of India for all the courses. The Training and Placement Cell of JUIT conducts placement activities like counseling, guiding, and training to make its students ready for the corporate world. The Cell establishes relationships with several industries, organisations, and institutions for their students’ successful careers. It makes sure that students possess the necessary skills and knowledge required to meet the changing business needs. Students are provided interfaces also with self made entrepreneurs to motivate them to become entrepreneurs.
As a result of the efforts of the Cell, placement data of the university is going high over the years. Several companies have visited the JUIT campus for placement. A few of the recruiting companies of the university are Genpact, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Zyla Healthcare, Amazon, Microsoft, ZS Associates, Adobe, and more.
JUIT campus is located in the Waknaghat hills in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The campus is spread over 25 acres in the slopes of Waknaghat hills surrounded by a beautiful natural environment. The campus infrastructure was built on an area 74228.71 square meters and is beautifully designed to provide all possible facilities to its students and staff.
