IEC University Baddi (also known as India Education Centre University) [ICEU], Solan established in 2012 is a Private University. ICEU Solan is approved by AICTE, BCI, UGC, PCI, COA and AIU. Admission in IEC University Baddi is offered in Engineering, Management and Humanities at UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students.
IEC University Solan is a private university set up in the beautiful Shivalik Mountains of Solan district. The location of the university is serene and away from the crowded metro cities in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The university came into existence in the year 2012 and is an UGC-approved university. The location of the university is very serene and so are the academics offered here.
The university has many multi-disciplinary courses designed to help students get industry knowledge. It focuses on quality education in the field of law, pharmacy, social sciences, humanities, travel, and tourism. It is also a place for art and fashion students with all the research facilities available on campus. The other approved courses at the campus are bachelors and masters in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. The university has PhD programs in mechanical as well as computer science engineering. The university has outstanding research courses where they give training to groom students. The university has as many as 200+ faculties who are experts and have years of experience in their field. They are highly accomplished and nurtured students and ensured their overall personality development. The university has conducted many seminars as a part of academics to spread different ideas.
IEC University Solan admission process is rather simple as the students get admission based on their qualifications or entrance exams.
UG Programs: To get admission in the field of engineering the students should have a 45% total in their 10+2 exam along with a valid score in JEE/ HPCET exam. For basic science and applied sciences, students should have scored at least 50% aggregate in their 12th class exam. The PCM field is mandatory and if a student belongs to SC/ST category 5% relaxation is also given to them. For other UG programs, the criteria to take admission to the college are almost similar in nature. The total marks that are required for non-science students are 45%.
PG Programs: For Mtech students the criteria say that a student should have a valid score and a bachelor’s degree in the required engineering field. For other science, non-science degrees students can get admission based on their graduation marks. There is no provision of entrance tests for non science PG courses.
PhD Programs: Students have to fill out the application form for Ph.D. entrance test. They are required to clear the cut-off set up by the university. If any candidate has a valid CSIR/UGC score in JRF/NET he/she does not have to write the entrance test.
The students can open the website and fill up the application form and submit it if they are looking to take admission in their desired field. The documents that the university asks students to submit are as follows:

● For foreign nationals’ valid study VISA is mandatory.
IEC University Solan has been offering scholarships to the weaker section of the society as these students cannot afford the courses at this university. IEC administration makes sure that bright students who deserve get the required scholarships and fees concession at the campus. The university does not have many scholarship options but the education loan facility is really good.
The university has been providing financial aid and support to the students who want to do higher education. IEC has the provision of education loan for the students who have gotten admission into the field of medicine, management or engineering stream at any level. Under the education loan the finance that is covered is around 10 lacs if the student wishes to pursue studies in India, but if the candidate wishes to do higher education in foreign he/she will be getting an education loan of around 20 lacs. The loan would cover the tuition fees, hostel and other charges under the loan scheme. The minimum assistance a student can get is around 50K. IEC is the authority who decides whether the student should be given a loan or not. The parents or guardian will be the co applicant and the best thing about this whole education loan is they ask for zero percentage of interest.

IEC University Solan has an office of placement to assist students with the queries related to placements and internship programs. The cell has a very broad network across many industries and it makes sure that students are placed in the top national and international companies. The training and placement department of the university also participates in many activities where they conduct career planning programs along with the focus on personality development of students. It conducts seminars and guest lectures for the assessment of students.
The list of eminent recruiters that have visited the campus and hired students is really long. Vizag Steel, Toyota, TCS, Samsung, Reliance Industries, Jindal Steel, Lupin, JP Morgan, Infosys and more than 350+ top recruiting companies have offered job opportunities to the young talent of this university. For many other certificate and training purposes the university has collaborated with prominent providers. EMC, Oracle academy, aspiring minds are few of the training providers that IEC has collaborated with.
Technical courses students also get the offers of doing 6 weeks internship assignments with different companies. By doing these internship programs students get exposure in their respective field and sometimes they get offers of full time jobs in the same organisation. The internship programs are designed in such a manner that it also enhances the intellectual level of the students and they can further improve on their communication skills.

Digital Library: Library is the soul of every academic institution and IEC has a digital library which has more than 30K books in its book racks. It also accommodates magazines, journals, newspapers and e content for student’s convenience. Students who wish to prepare for govt exams or any other entrance test sit in the library for hours to study.
Accommodation, Canteen & Transportation: Residential facilities for staff members and hostel facilities for students who are not day scholars also exist on the university’s campus. The facility of pick and drop is also available for staff and students as the university runs as many as 20 buses. The campus has a cafeteria which serves a food menu to as many as 400 people at one time. The canteen has many dishes and beverages options for students as per their choices.
Other facilities: The University has 24x7 fast internet connections as the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled with modern and smart classrooms. The academic block of the campus is spread in 2 blocks which has many lecture theatres. The campus has a spacious auditorium in the academic block where many seminars, guest lectures and other activities are conducted. The auditorium is set up with all the facilities of audio and video visuals so that the presentation can be given smoothly. It has a gym, health care centre for staff members and students. The campus has a sports complex where students can play and practise their favourite games. The other facilities include ATM, Post office, and Bank.
