Under the Gujarat Private Universities Act 2009, the RK University was established. The university is recognized by AICTE, UGC, PCI, IAP, and DTE. This is the first private University in Saurashtra, Gujarat. The University conducts various programs in Management, Engineering, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Applied Sciences, and Computer Applications at undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral level.

Admission in various programs is made through entrance exams which are conducted at All India level or State level. For Admission in MBA courses, the score of CAT/MAT/CMAT is considered.
For admission in B.Tech, the valid score of Gujarat Common Entrance Test or Joint Entrance Examination is required. Admission to BPT and B.Pharm is made based on rank obtained in Gujarat Common Entrance Test.
Admission in M.Tech, M.Sc is according to the marks secured in last qualifying examination. A candidate seeking admission in M.Pharm must have passed the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). Admission in MPT is according to the marks obtained at Graduation level in relevant discipline. For admission in Ph.D., a candidate needs a valid score in Research Aptitude Test (RAT).
