Since its inception in 2009, National Forensic Sciences University formerly known as Gujarat Forensic Science University has been accomplishing new academic levels in the Forensic Science sector. The university got the status of the Institution of National Importance in 2020 under MHRD. It is accredited and approved by NAAC and UGC respectively. It also has approvals of PCI and RCI.
The vision of NFSU is to provide qualified and knowledgeable Forensic Experts to the nation and society. It also envisions performing research in the disciplines of Crime Investigation, Criminology, Forensic Science, Security, and Behavioural Science.
