Auro University was incepted in 2011 as per Gujarat Act No. 25. Auro University Surat has one of the best infrastructures as it is constructed by none other than JHM group of hotels. Not just the university but the group has helped constructing a new Surat as Surat today is one of the most high-tech cities of India. The University offers various UG and PG courses in streams like law, management, arts, design, languages and mass communication. Some of the specialized courses that university offers are BJMC, BBA, LLB, LLM, MBA etc. The University has recently introduced entrance exams for admissions in various courses. Apart from that, the University also takes candidates with par scores at national-level decorated entrance exams like the AIEEE, CLAT, CAT, AIMA, UGAT, JEE Mains, etc. Mr. Hasmukh Rama is the founder of the university.

Walk-in Interview: Auro University offers many degree courses that ranges from Business Management, Science, Law, Hospitality Management, Design, Journalism & Mass Communication, Information and Technology, Human sciences, and Liberal Arts among others. The students who are interested can directly visit the university and come with the list of documents. If the documents prove eligibility, they will be called for the interview rounds and soon they will have acceptance letter from the university.
Online Method: Once, the results of the entrance or other competitive exams are out, the students can go to the site and check the required cut-off. If it is in line the students can fill Auro University application form online and proceed with it. Once, the application is submitted, the university administrative office will check that and call you up directly for the interview which is the final frontier. Inviting Companies- A dedicated division of the placement cell is handed the first and foremost responsibility of inviting the companies to the campus placement drive.
Application registration- All the students interested in placements can register and then the applications are moved further and all the interested candidates are invited for training within the campus.
Slots Allocation- All the companies who want to visit the campus are provided slots with the students of respective fields so that the process doesn’t become tiring.
Pre-Placement Talk- All the companies visiting the campus are asked to brief about the roles and their policies beforehand so that the students who see their future with that respective company can apply.
Selection Round- For selection, the students have to undergo various rounds of personal interviews and group discussion. After these processes the students are selected for the job or roles they have applied for.
Job Confirmation- After the above process, all the students who get qualified are provided offer letters and they can join the respective companies after the final exams are over and their results are out.
The 100 acres land of the university has so many serene moments and things that one will always be in awe of it. Some of the special facilities that the university has are mentioned below: -
Hostel Facilities – There are boys and girls hostels at the campus and students are provided twin sharing rooms with attached washrooms. The hostels have a student lounge which is best suited for students to relax and unwind. The lounge has enough spaces for having an interaction or making new friends. The hostels have a cafeteria or mess that serves nutritious and hygienic meals three times in a day. The hostels also have a Café and Tuck Shop, that offer various fillers and appetizers that students will have the variety of foods available at the campus itself. There is a merchandise store that offers academic and non-academic stuffs to the students. Hostel students can enjoy the outdoor and indoor sporting facilities throughout the day. The hostels have areas where students can practice arts, theatre or music. Just outside the college, shuttle auto services are available that can take students to any part of the smart city, Surat.
Sports – Every university has laid emphasize on sports and Gujarat often being criticized as a state which hasn’t produced sportsman. Auro University has tried to change that narrative by providing students some world class sporting facilities. Apart from sports ground there are training facilities at the campus for students who want to learn particular sports. The best of mentors and coaches have been hired to train students in Football, Cricket, Athletics, Chess, Table Tennis, or Kabaddi. Students of the university have been given a free hand when it comes to sports as they can fix the schedule as per their convenience and organize sports week roster on their own. Training for Yoga, Pilates, Gymnastics, and others sports are also provided at the campus.
AURO University was established in the year 2011 as a private University in Gujarat. The University conducts its entrance exams for all regular courses and also accepts National Entrance Exams. On the basis of these entrance exams selections are made in any given course. For BBA, students have to give AIMA-UGAT while for MBA it accepts CAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT/MAT. For LL.B, University takes the CLAT/LSAT exam. Admission depends upon the Auro Entrance Exam organized by the University.
AURO University has won Two Gold, Three Bronze, and One Silver medals at Hospitality Ensemble Competition. Christ University from Bangalore awarded AURO University with One Bronze and Runners-Up Trophy.
The University owns a library consisting of a large collection of books, magazines, online and offline journals, collection of audio and visual materials as well. The library has a modern multi-user library management system that supports its day to day operations. This large book hub is now a well-maintained place for reading and researching on any topic.
The LRC also has a large collection of different subjects such as Information Technology, Philosophy, General Education, Design, Law, Business Management, Economics, and Computer Science. It provides the facility to every student to go through the library collection online catalogue. Other facilities such as group discussion rooms are available where users can discuss within the groups on projects and seminars periodical section that consists of 140 national/ international journals, hospitality, law and common reading & special reference room along with separate cubicle with proper internet connectivity.
