Admissions into KL University Guntur B.Tech are provided on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the entrance examination. KL University organises, KL Engineering Entrance Examination (KLEEE, B.Tech) & KL Engineering Common Entrance Test (KLECET, B.Tech Lateral Entry), for admissions.

After completion of the application submission process, the university organises entrance exams for respective courses. Students who qualify as per the merit list prepared by the university are selected for the counselling process. After counselling and interview, the candidates who obtain maximum marks in all phases are provided admissions into the KLU Guntur B.Tech program.

KL University provides numerous scholarships to its students. The scholarships are provided on the basis of academic achievements of the students in their respective courses, and their meritorious performance in various entrance exams. Scholarships are applicable only as tuition fee waiver. Students receive scholarships for subsequent years if they continue their meritorious performance.
B.Tech students at KL University are provided scholarships on the basis of their performance in KLEEE/ JEE Mains exams. Some other scholarships are also provided which are based upon the performance of the students in their qualifying (Board) exam.
