Vikrama Simhapuri University [VSU], Nellore established in 2008 is a State University. VSU Nellore is approved by AICTE and UGC. Admission in Vikrama Simhapuri University is offered in Management, Humanities and Science at UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students.
Vikrama Simhapuri University Nellore is a state-of-the-art university, incepted in the year 2008. The university is on NH5 and is around 6 miles from the main city of Nellore. The university runs two colleges out of which one is in Nellore and one is in Kavali. There are over 100 colleges affiliated to the VSU Nellore. The university is known for offering PG courses and as of now the university offers 26 PG courses in Science and Arts streams. The current chancellor of the university is E.S.L. Narasimhan. The university is now nearly 15 years old and has earned a niche for itself but is still in the quest of quality education. The university is doing their bit in providing one of the best man forces in frontier areas of education.

Vikrama Simhapuri University admissions are both merit as well as entrance based. For PG courses the university has its own entrance test in VSUPGCET. Apart from regular college, the university also offers distance learning programs. For admission to any Vikrama Simhapuri University courses the cut-offs are generally high as getting here is not an easy task. Vikrama Simhapuri admission forms are published on their website and the form can be submitted after paying the Vikrama Simhapuri application form fees of INR 500 for general students and 400 for ST/SC/OBC/PH students. Scholarships on caste are followed as helping the minorities of the state has been the biggest scholarship programs run by the university. The Training and Placement cell of the university duly believes that providing knowledge is not sufficient. So, they work tirelessly in the final year with students to develop appropriate skill sets to face the challenges of the corporate world. Providing a respectful job to their students has been the main motto of the university. The cell is not just the mediator but the interface and the guiding force to help students get placed in the private sector, government organizations and reputed MNCs. The training cell also helps students realize their potential and help them choose the career option in which they can excel. The university has placed over 10,000 students in its 15 years and the numbers have started growing immensely after the lockdown. Almost all the students of PG courses are placed through the campus and UG courses students are not far either as even they have started cracking placements at the campus with some exciting numbers. In the space of over 80 acres, the university has built a college that has almost all the facilities one can ask for. First and foremost, facility that any university should have at its campus is a hostel and the university has built two large hostels for that matter. Pinakin Boys Hostel and Swarna Mukhi Girls Hostel. The boy’s hostel was immense as over 1000 students reside in the boy’s hostel while the girl’s hostel is half of it in terms of accommodation.
