Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology, and Research (VFSTR) is a deemed to be university commonly known by the name Vignan University. It was founded in 2008 with an aim to impart quality education to make the individuals competent and inspired engineers. The University is approved by AICTE and UGC, and is accredited by NBA and NAAC with “A” grade.

Some of the courses offered by the university are B.Tech, B.Sc, BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (Hons), B.Pharm, B.A.LL.B (Hons), and more. Admissions in the VFSTR for most of the courses are generally based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Vignan's Scholastic Aptitude Test (V-SAT), a computer based online test conducted at all India basis. Students are admitted based on the merit secured by them in the V-SAT exam and by following the reservation policy. However, it is the responsibility of the candidate to make sure whether they satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria for the respective courses before appearing in the entrance test conducted by the university. For Undergraduate Courses:

Note: The maximum age limit of the candidates to apply for any of the above course is 18 years except for B.Sc course which is 19 years.

For Postgraduate Courses:

Note: Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam and waiting for the results can also apply for admission.

Admission process of the NRI students is different from the national students. The University has reserved 5% of the total intake capacity from the category B seats for admission to foreign students in UG and PG programs.

Scholarships are awarded to the students who have excellent academic record and are allotted in all the programs offered by the university. 25% of the overall seats in each education department are reserved for scholarships of which 5% seats with 75% scholarship, 10% seats with 50% scholarship and the remaining 10% with 25% scholarship. The criteria of allotting the scholarship is on the merit score secured, availability of seats and first come first serve basis. The Scholarship is applicable for four years and the continuation of it is subject to securing at least 70% marks in each preceding year with no backlogs. Additionally, students taking admission by qualifying in the GATE exam in addition to 100% scholarship will get suitable remuneration per month.
