Telangana University, Nizamabad established in 2006 is a State University. Telangana University Nizamabad is approved by UGC, and is accredited by NAAC-B. Admission in Telangana University is offered in Management, Humanities and Science at UG/ PG/ Doctorate level.
Telangana University was founded in 2006 with an aim to provide higher education in the district of Nizamabad, so that education is accessible to all. The University is the third largest university in Telangana. It started its academic curriculum from a PG building of Government Giriraj College at Dubba area, and now has its own three campuses at: Dichpally (Main campus), Bhiknoor (South Campus), Sarangapur (Sarangapur Campus). The university is approved by UGC with a “State University” status, and is accredited by NAAC.
Vision: The University works towards empowering rural youth by disseminating skill based higher education with the use of innovative teaching techniques to achieve world-class standards in education.
Mission: It works to achieve its mission of developing a community of learners and providing justice to the socially backward rural youth by imparting job oriented higher education to make their future better.
Telangana University provides degrees at UG, PG, Doctorate, and M.Phil level in different disciplines. The University is among newly established universities in Telangana, to launch Ph.D courses in 13 disciplines. Admissions to the university are based on the rank of the students in TUCET/OU Common Entrance Test conducted by the Osmania University, Hyderabad and the reservation policy of the State government subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria for the respective courses. For every course, 85% of the seats are reserved for domestic applicants from the district of Nizamabad and Adilabad.

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell at the university manages the campus placement activities. The Cell conducts workshops, offers training sessions and counseling sessions, and gives necessary guidance to the students to facilitate them in getting their desired jobs that suit their needs.
Students from the university have been placed in leading companies like Wipro, Capital IQ, Infosys, IBM, Winnou Software Labs, Deloitte, ICICI Prudential, Aspirins, Parexel and more.
Telangana University has excellent infrastructure facilities in all its three campuses spread over the state. The main campus at Dichpally covers 577 acres of land, the second campus at Bhiknoor is spread over 44 acres of land, and the third campus at Sarangapur was developed on 60 acres of land. The main campus of the university comprises the following buildings: Class room complex, Law College, Administrative block, separate blocks for Commerce and Management College, Computer Science & Engineering College, Boys Hostel, Girls Hostel, and Vignana Soudha (Library building).
