Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) - Anantapur has existed since 1981 providing quality education free to all students irrespective of their caste, creed or religion. The institute is run by a trust. It was founded to inculcate moral education with secular education to women. It is approved by AICTE and UGC with a Deemed to be University status, and is accredited by NAAC and recognised by IQAC and NCTE.
Vision: The institute was set up with a vision to mould its students to attain self knowledge and self confidence to develop values of self sacrifice and earn self realisation.
Mission: Its mission is to shape the individuals proficiency, public responsibility, and spiritually awake state by inculcating noble values and right approach through education based on human values.
The institute focuses on disseminating integrated education with ethical values through Educare by providing a range of UG, PG, Professional, and Research courses. Students can pursue courses like M.A, M.Sc, B.A, B.A (Hons), B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons), etc in various fields.
Admissions to the institute are done following a Merit-based open admissions policy. The institute provides quality education free to all the deserving and eligible students. * The Maximum age limit for all PG course is 23 years. If a candidate has not attempted the final Bachelor’s exam, aggregate marks in all the semesters’ exam is put together for consideration.
Upon confirming the eligibility criteria students can fill out the application form by registering themselves on the official portal of the university and paying the application fee. They must upload the necessary documents demanded in support of their educational and other qualifications with the application form.
To pursue Ph.D courses, candidates must have a Master’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 60% marks and should not have attained more than 29 years of age. Additionally, candidates should be unmarried. All Ph.D programs are residential programs, hence candidates must stay in the institute’s hostels. Qualified candidates in UGC CSIR (JRF) / UGC NET (JRF) / ICAR (JRF) / ICMR (JRF) / GATE/ JEST National Examination are exempted from the Admission Test taken by the institute. They directly qualify in the evaluation test in English and a technical viva.

The Placement team is the authority responsible for handling the placement activities of SSSIHL students. The alumni of the institute are part of the placement structure, runs a program called CATALYST (Corporate Aptitude Training - an Arena to Leverage Your Skills and Talents) each year to make the students ready for the corporate world. Generally the employers contact the alumni to share the feedback on the performance of the newly recruited students and suggest new techniques to enhance skill among the students. Both On-campus and Off-campus placements are done by alumni referrals. The Placement Officer of the institute has contacts with Business Houses and Industry to help students have a better understanding of the requirements of the dynamic market. Many of the institute’s graduates are engaged in senior positions in India and abroad.
The efforts of the Placement team has placed many of the graduates in companies like Aditya Birla, HDFC, Tata Trust, Tata Consultancy Services, Birla, Jigsaw, HSBC, Deloitte, Café Coffee Day, Aieone, IIT Bhilai, ICICI Bank, Times of India, IBM Technologies, Indusind Bank, and more.
SSSIHL Anantapur campus is among the four campuses of SSSIHL namely: Brindavan Campus, Prasanthi Nilayam Campus, and Muddenahalli Campus. The campus is spread over 115.23 acres of land. Despite the campus location in a rural area, SSSIHL has modern infrastructural facilities providing an efficient learning environment and comfortable stay. The buildings constructed on the campus are spacious and beautifully designed. The Classrooms, Seminar Halls, and Conference rooms provide multimedia facilities to students.
