Panimalar Engineering College

The institute has established a Panimalar Placement Cell, to provide students with a platform to grow and professional environment to develop new skills. The major role of this cell is to train the student and give shape to their career dreams into reality. This cell works in enhancing the technical, communicational, and soft skills of the students. The cell also works in making the students aware of career mapping skills and career planning skills and assists the students in developing their personalities and competitive skills.

Apart from this, the Placement Cell also organises a number of training and interaction programs like logical reasoning, verbal reasoning, live project sessions, seminars, guest lectures, expert visits, etc. The cell also monitors the overall development of the student and also conducts pre-placement learning sessions like mock interviews, aptitude tests, and group discussions.

The major highlight of this cell is its relationship of the institute with some major recruiting companies like IBM, Wipro, Cognizant, Asahi India Glass Ltd., HP, Renault Nissan, Mu Sigma, Huawei, Aditya Birla Group, Kone, TATA Consultancy Services, Larsen & Toubro, Saint-Gobain, etc.

Located at Trunk Road, Poonamalle, Chennai, the institute has a sprawling campus with a focus on overall development, inculcating dedication and discipline in the students. The infrastructure of the institute is built keeping in mind the needs and requirements of the students and ensuring a world-class academic experience. Some primary student and academic facilities present here are:

• Laboratories: The institution has excellent labs. The labs are fully furnished with comfortable seating space, and are air-conditioned. Some prime labs present here are Communicational Lab, Electronics Lab, Microprocessor Lab, Signal Process Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Measurement & Instrumentation Lab, Dynamic Lab, etc. These labs allow the student in expanding their knowledge and create new and innovative things.
• Library: The institute has multiple libraries but the one main Central Library is massive and has a huge collection of reading and research material. The central library is built in an area of 1650 square meter with a seating capacity of more than 150 students. The library has a wide range of dictionaries, books, textbooks, periodicals, references, handbooks, encyclopedias, etc. The reading space of this library is calm, comfortable and air-conditioned.
• Hostel: The institute has provided accommodation facilities to the students who come here from far away locations, cities, or other states. The institute has two hostels, one for boys with a capacity for1000 students & is built in an area of 1,18,260 sq. ft. and another one is for girls, built in an area of 1,02,400 sq. ft. with an accommodation facility of 800 students. All the rooms in the hostel are thoroughly furnished, secure, equipped, and clean. Additionally, the mess area of the hostel serves delicious, nutritious, and hygienic food cooked in a clean environment.
• Transportation Facility: To provide day scholars with a transportation facility, the institute has its own fleet of more than 150 buses. The transportation system of this institute makes sure that all the students reach to their locations, soundly, safely, and on time.
• Sports: To promote physical health and fitness, the institute has proper sports arrangements for students. Sports help in the overall development of the students and the institute has both outdoor and indoor sports facilities like chess, carom, basketball, football, badminton, kabaddi, volleyball, ball badminton, etc. Apart from this, Panimalar also encourages its students to take part in multiple district, state, and national level tournaments and events.
• Other Facilities: Gym, On-campus shops & beauty salon, yoga center, computer lab, health facilities, and laundry services for hostel students.
