Teerthanker Mahaveer University’s Faculty of Education was founded in the year 2003 as a subsidiary department of Teerthanker Mahaveer Institute of Management and Technology (TMIMT). The academia is situated in Moradabad town in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Since its establishment, the Faculty of Education has been delivering high-quality teacher education programs, thereby contributing to nation-building.

The university is under the aegis of TMIMT that began its journey in 2001 by furnishing courses undergraduate and postgraduate programs in management, computer applications, and education. FOE (Faculty of Education) chiefly offers courses in the academic areas of humanities, sciences, education, and elementary education. Additionally, the department registers students for integrated programs such as ‘B.Sc.-B.Ed’ and ‘B.A.-B. Ed.   

The institution organizes group discussions, library work, dissertations, and seminars from time to time, enabling students to complete their courses. The institute lays special emphasis on teacher education programs where pupils pick up ideas and opinions relating to didactics. Once the students become well-versed in concepts pertaining to the education they feel confident in applying their knowledge in real life.

In order to boost the students’ teaching capabilities and fine-tune their communications skills in English, FOE has incorporated an English course in the curriculum. The Faculty of Education, right from the beginning had adopted an interdisciplinary approach for teaching value-added and professionally-oriented programs. The adoption of an interdisciplinary strategy enables young students and budding teachers to imbibe the ability to solve critical problems.

At the same time, students by repeatedly resolving challenging issues relating to education, develop a scientific mindset. The learners also receive encouragement from the FOE authorities for participating in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. All programs offered by the Faculty of Education have the approval of NCTE or National Council for Teacher Education.

FOE offers a highly developed and modernized academic infrastructure to the students, including a resourceful library. The educational establishment maintains an excellent track record in placing students in lucrative teaching jobs. Every year, nearly 80% of final year students breeze through placement interview sessions organized by the department.
