The college has a Career Development Centre which provides support, guidance, counselling, and training to the students to make them an asset for the organisation. The Cell organises Training Programs, Orientation Programs, Career Guidance Programs, Workshops, Seminars, Industrial Visits, etc. to enhance the soft skills and technical skills of the students along with exposing them to the practical world. Along with the placement, college also provides Internship opportunities for the students in reputed companies.

Amazon, Wipro, HCL, Cognizant, Hitachi, PayPal, TCS, Bosch, ZOHO, CODA, Codingmart, Virtusa, Commvault, etc. are some of the recruiting companies visiting the campus to grant placement opportunities to the students.

RMK Engineering College is spread around 60 acres and has been awarded by the Rotary Club for a Clean and Green Campus. The college provides various infrastructure facilities such as:

• Library: The Central Library is spread around 930 square meters and has a collection of around 25000 Titles and 1 lakh+ Volumes. The library has Reports, CD ROMs, Printed Materials, Journal Articles, Reference Materials, Subscription to E-Journals, around 70 National Technical Magazines and 70+ National Journals. Library also provides Book Bank facilities, Reprographic facilities, etc.
• Laboratories: The College has various Laboratories in different departments such as Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Database Management Systems Laboratory, Geology Laboratory, Surveying Laboratory, Power System Simulation Lab etc.
• Hostel: There are separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. There are around 3 boys’ hostels which can accommodate around 1000 students. The hostels have Reading room, Library, Stationary store, Badminton Court, Wi-Fi facility, Gymnasium, Mess, Grooming Centre etc. There are around 3 hostels for girls which can accommodate around 400 students. The Girls hostels also have Dining Hall, Table Tennis Court, Stationary store, Badminton Court, Wi-Fi facility, Gymnasium, Mess, Beauty Parlour etc. The hostels also organise Cultural Activities such as Dancing, Singing, Drama, Mime, Painting, etc.
• Transport: Transportation facilities are provided to the students belonging from Thiruvallur and Chennai districts. There are around 50 Buses, 10+ Cars and Vans that provide pick and drop services to the students.
• Gymnasium: The College has a hydraulic gym and power gym with latest machines and can accommodate around 100 students at once.
• Hospital: The College has a Clinic, Dispensary, Doctor, Ambulance, and Medical Shop.
